Tosin has a bachelor's in physics from Frostburg State University and a master's in technology education from Virginia Tech. She also received her Educational Leadership and Administration Certificate from George Washington University.
A National Board Certified Teacher, endorsed in Physics and Technology Education, Tosin has over ten years of experience in the education field. She began her teaching career in Loudoun County, Virginia where she taught Aerospace Science, Applied Technology, and Physics courses. For two years during her tenure she served as the Loudoun County Public Schools Aerospace Educator In-Residence at the Stephen F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly.
In 2019, Tosin was named K-5 Teacher of the Year by the AFA Steele Chapter, and a Blue Angels' Highly Qualified and Influential Educator in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia Region. In 2023, Tosin was a top 10 finalist for the Northern Virginia Magazine Teacher of the Year, and is the 2023-2024 Falls Church City Public Schools Teacher of the Year. Tosin has worked with children of all ages in programs such as Upward Bound, Technology Student Association, People to People International, the Nu Xi Zeta HAVE Foundation, Jack and Jill of America, Eta Pi Zeta Youth Advisor, Smithsonian Enterprises, and Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington. She has also worked as a STEM Education Coordinator for Northern Virginia Community College, a Director of Professional Development at IBSS Corporation, Science and STEM Coordinator for an entrepreneurial-STEM-art program at a private school in Herndon Virginia, and more recently as an Elementary STEAM Specialist in Falls Church Virginia. Her experience also includes planning and executing STEM programming that have provided supplemental activities for hundreds of students and teachers.
